Healthy Steps In Motion

This fall prevention program is designed by the PA Department of Aging and is instructed by certified instructors.

This program meets twice a week for four (4) weeks and is designed for adults 60 years of age and older of all fitness levels.

Healthy Steps in Motion (HSIM) starts with a warm-up followed by strength and balance exercises and ends with a cool-down stretch.

HSIM strives to reduce the risk of falling by:

  • Building body strength
  • Increasing flexibility
  • Improving balance

There are levels of exercises that enable participants to continue the class after four weeks.

Monday & Wednesday class will meet in the Fitness Studio 7:45 – 8:30am.

Wednesday ONLY class will meet in the Senior Center 9:00-10:00am

 

This program requires a participant registration form to be completed as well as a scheduled pre-assesment
