🔥 Come grow, explore, and be inspired at Camp Ignite! 🔥 Camp Ignite is a week-long outdoor adventure camp designed to spark growth, leadership, and resilience in youth through hands-on experiences and meaningful life lessons. Guided by impactful scenes from the inspiring films Zootopia 2, Minecraft Movie, and GOAT, each day focuses on character development, teamwork, and perseverance — all while having fun in the great outdoors. Spots are limited – early registration is recommended! Transportation to and from the Y is needed each day, but campers will be transported to each day’s events.

Campers will explore beautiful locations around Central Pennsylvania, including state parks, conservation areas, and farms. Activities vary by location and may include:

• Hiking & biking through scenic trails
• Fishing & boating on peaceful lakes
• Nature discovery & crafting at outdoor centers
• Frisbee golf, yard games & team challenges
• Cooking over campfires & observing local wildlife
• Rafting & creek adventures (weather permitting)

Who Should Join? Camp Ignite is ideal for youth who love nature ages 10-12 years, want to build character and leadership skills, and are ready to unplug and engage with their peers.

• There is a 30-minute buffer for participant drop-off and pick-up

Sports enthusiasts will have a blast at this multi-sport camp! In an instructional and recreational setting, participants will learn, practice, and play a different sport or two each day, including basketball, soccer, flag football, baseball, and more. This camp is perfect for kids who love trying new sports and staying active!

Dates: July 6-9, 2026 (Monday-Thursday)

• Entering grades 1-3: 9:00-11:00am
• Entering grades 4-6: 12:30-2:30pm

The Basketball Camp for Rookies is a co-ed program for players entering 1st-6th grade who are new to the game or have a little experience. This camp focuses on developing individual skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and more, all in a fun and recreational setting.

The camp uses an 8-foot rim height, making it more accessible for younger players to build confidence and improve their game. It’s a great way to learn the basics and improve basketball skills in a supportive environment!

Students will learn movement and basic ballet technique through songs, creative expressions, and games. The focus is to make students comfortable in their movement and coordination while having fun!

Schedule: 5:00-6:00pm

Ages: 3-5 years

Location: West Shore YMCA Gymnasium

This class will have students learn expressing the mood and lyrics of a song through movement. Lyrical uses elements of ballet and jazz in order to tell a story with inner emotion through dance.  New elements for returning participants, and great for new participants.

Dates: July 20-23, 2026 (Monday-Thursday)

Schedule: 6:15-7:15pm

Ages: 6-8 years

The Developmental Volleyball Camp at the West Shore YMCA will offer 2 weeks of camp based on the participants age and offers two sessions based on skill level:

1. Ages 8-11 5:00-6:30 pm: For beginners or those with little to no volleyball experience. The focus will be on learning and practicing the fundamentals of volleyball.

2. Ages 12-15 6:30-8:00 pm: For participants with some experience, such as those who have attended a developmental volleyball session during the school year or have similar experience outside of the YMCA. This session will focus on enhancing fundamental skills and learning new ones.

Both sessions take place in a recreational setting, providing a fun and supportive environment for all participants. Camps are co-ed.

Our gymnastics summer camp provides a fun and supportive environment for children to learn gymnastics fundamentals and participate in activities that foster body awareness, motor development, balance, coordination, flexibility, and strength. As children experience the fun of learning, they will also have opportunities to develop listening, cooperation, social skills, and a sense of personal achievement.

At gymnastics camp, children will be involved in skill development and learning activities on bars, beam, floor, vault, mini tramp, and rings. In addition to gymnastics, children will participate in fun games and activities, arts and crafts, and snack time.

Dates: June 16-19, 2026 (Tuesday-Friday)

Schedule: 9:00-11:00am

Ages: 4-6
