Swim Lessons – Preschool
Preschool swim lessons are a great way to get your child comfortable with water safety and skill. The Harrisburg Area YMCA offers preschool swim lessons for children between the ages of 3-5 years. Swimming lessons can save your child’s life! Preschool swim lessons offer safety, encouragement, and peace of mind for your children.
Level 1: Water Acclimation
Increases comfort with underwater exploration and introduces basic self-rescue skills performed with assistance.
Level 2: Water Movement
Encourages forward movement in water and basic self-rescue skills performed independently.
Level 3: Water Stamina
Develops intermediate self-rescue skills performed at longer distances than in previous stages.
Level 4: Stroke Introduction
Develop stroke technique in front crawl and learn breaststroke and butterfly kick.
