CCY Basketball Skills & Drills
Our youth basketball skills clinic focuses on developing fundamental basketball skills, fostering teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. Participants will learn passing, shooting, dribbling, and game rules. The clinic aims to enhance your skills, help you make new friends, and ensure you continue to love the game. Each group is limited to a maximum of 20 kids.
Dates:
- Spring 2: April 28–June 16, 2025
- Summer: June 23–August 11, 2025
Schedule:
- Ages 8-10: Mondays from 6:00-7:00pm
- Ages 11-13: Mondays from 7:15-8:15pm
Ages: 8-13 years

FSY Developmental Basketball
The Friendship YMCA Developmental Basketball program emphasizes skill development, gameplay concepts, teamwork, and FUN! For children of all skill levels.

NDCY AAU Open Gym
The summer season of the NDCY Valley Stars will run from May–July. Participants will hold three tournaments across Central PA. Practices will be held at the YMCA. Those who are selected will be invited to register for their respective team. There is a separate fee for the summer season. This evaluation will help determine team selection.

NDCY Basketball Clinic with Unleashed Potential
In this clinic, Unleashed Potential will be providing all-around basketball skill and game development. The workout will include ball handling, finishing, shooting, passing and competition. It will be a high energy, fast-paced and challenging workout that will feature individual development, group development, and communication.
Unleashed Potential works with thousands of kids from all over the country and world. Some of their most notable partnerships are with USA Basketball, Duke Men and Women, Villanova Women, Boston Celtics Jr. NBA, and FIBA International coaches. This is a co-ed event. Max of 25 participants.
Dates: August 11-13, 2025, Monday-Wednesday
- Grades 4-6: 9:00-10:30am
- Grades 7-9: 10:45am-12:15pm

NDCY Free Throw Basketball Challenge
Calling all youth ages 10-17! Demonstrate your basketball skills in this one-time event, competing against others to win the Free Throw Competition. Proceeds go the YMCA’s Annual Campaign which funds our Financial Assistance Program.
Participants have 10 minutes to shoot as many free throws as you can. We ask that you get as many supporters as you can to donate $2 for every basket that you make. Supporters can also donate any amount they wish.
Bring a favorite basketball or the Y will provide one. Prize awarded to the winner. We will break the group into in age groups if needed. Music, Drinks, Food and kids can stay after and play some pick up games for a while.
