Our youth basketball skills clinic focuses on developing fundamental basketball skills, fostering teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. Participants will learn passing, shooting, dribbling, and game rules. The clinic aims to enhance your skills, help you make new friends, and ensure you continue to love the game. Each group is limited to a maximum of 20 kids.

YBL is open to boys and girls in grades 3-10 of all skill levels and emphasizes teamwork, skill development, sportsmanship, and fun! Participants will receive a team jersey and play at least 1/2 of each game.

Our goal for YBL is to offer the community’s children an enjoyable chance to learn and value basketball through active engagement in practices and games. This aims to enhance athletic skills and knowledge of the game, foster confidence and self-esteem, and promote a deeper comprehension of teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect for others.

Dates: November 3, 2025-March 1, 2026

Ages: 8-16

Evaluation Dates: Starting the week of the November 3rd

3v3 Basketball Intro League (Ages 10–12)

Join us Monday nights for our 3v3 Introductory Basketball League. A fun, low-pressure way to ease into game play! Designed for ages 10–12, this league focuses on teaching the basic fundamentals of basketball through guided 3-on-3 games. There are no referees and no scorekeeping! Just an hour of structured play led by our experienced Y-Coaches, emphasizing shooting, passing, defense, and rebounding.

Dates: Mondays, October 27 – December 15 (No class November 24)

Time: 6:30–7:30 PM

Location: Gymnasium Courts 3 & 4 at Friendship YMCA

The summer season of the NDCY Valley Stars will run from September-mid November. Participants will participate in at least three tournaments across Central PA. Practices will be held at the YMCA. Those who are selected will be invited to register for their respective team. There is a separate fee for the fall season registration; the fee does include the uniform and all tournament fees. This evaluation will help determine team selection.

In this clinic, Unleashed Potential will be providing all-around basketball skill and game development. The workout will include ball handling, finishing, shooting, passing and competition. It will be a high energy, fast-paced and challenging workout that will feature individual development, group development, and communication.

Unleashed Potential works with thousands of kids from all over the country and world. Some of their most notable partnerships are with USA Basketball, Duke Men and Women, Villanova Women, Boston Celtics Jr. NBA, and FIBA International coaches. This is a co-ed event. Max of 25 participants.

Play with the folks who invented the sport on Saturday mornings at the Y! This 8-week program will focus on the fundamentals of basketball, sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy habits. Children will learn rules and practice basketball fundamentals like dribbling, shooting, passing, and in most cases going the right way down the court through fun drills and games. We will end the session with games for each grade level on week eight. 30 participant maximum.
