CCY Basketball Skills & Drills
Our youth basketball skills clinic focuses on developing fundamental basketball skills, fostering teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. Participants will learn passing, shooting, dribbling, and game rules. The clinic aims to enhance your skills, help you make new friends, and ensure you continue to love the game. Each group is limited to a maximum of 20 kids.
Dates:
- June 23 – August 13, 2026
Schedule:
- Ages 7-9: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:00-7:00pm
- Ages 10-12: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7:00-8:00pm
Ages: 7-12 years

FSY Developmental Basketball
The Friendship YMCA Developmental Basketball program emphasizes skill development, gameplay concepts, teamwork, and FUN! This program is designed to introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of the game in a positive, encouraging environment. This group focuses on building confidence, coordination, and excitement for basketball through age-appropriate instruction and play.
Participants will learn:
- basic dribbling, passing, and shooting
- footwork, balance, and movement skills
- how to listen, follow directions, and participate in group activities
- teamwork, ball sharing, and encouraging others
- small-sided, modified games to building understanding without added pressure
This program is instruction-based and does not participate in 5v5 league play.
Our goal is to help children feel successful, stay active, and develop a lifelong love for the game.
All skill levels are welcome.

FSY Youth Intro Basketball League
5v5 Basketball Intro League
The Friendship YMCA’s Youth Basketball League introduces players to structured team basketball in a supportive and competitive environment. Athletes will develop their skills through weekly practices in the style of 5v5 games while learning the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and good sportsmanship.
Focuses include:
- dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense
- offensive and defensive spacing
- games rules and court awareness
- team communication and decision-making
- equal playing time and a positive game atmosphere
This league balances competition with learning, making it ideal for players who are still building confidence, as well as those ready for the next level.

- June 22 – August 16, 2026
