The Friendship YMCA Developmental Basketball program emphasizes skill development, gameplay concepts, teamwork, and FUN! For children of all skill levels.

Dates: January 6–February 24, 2025

Schedule: Mondays from 5:30-6:30pm

Ages: 7-12 years

Location: Friendship YMCA Gymnasium

Play with the folks who invented the sport on Saturday mornings at the Y! This 8-week program will focus on the fundamentals of basketball, sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy habits. Children will learn rules and practice basketball fundamentals like dribbling, shooting, passing, and in most cases going the right way down the court through fun drills and games. We will end the session with games for each grade level on week eight. 30 participant maximum.

Dates: October 26–December 14, 2024

• Kindergarten: 9:00-10:00am
• Grades 1-2: 10:00-11:00am

Location: Northern Dauphin County YMCA

During the day, youth will have their basketball skills enhanced through instruction and fun games. Along with basketball, participants will enjoy a dip in the pool. 8-year-olds may only participate on Rookies or All-Stars dates, but not both.
