Half Day Kindergarten

Tuition assistance: The YMCA accepts participants who qualify for subsidy. If you qualify for any kind of assistance, or need information, please contact your program’s Child Care Office. The Harrisburg Area YMCA Annual Campaign raises funds to provide scholarships for participants in need of assistance with membership and childcare. This scholarship program can provide relief if your family does not qualify for other types of assistance. To learn more, visit our financial aid page or contact the Child Care Office.

24/25 FSY Half Day Kindergarten
Available for kindergarten students attending Central Dauphin School District. Transportation is only provided for students attending North Side Elementary.
Registration Dates:
- Past participants: May 6, 2024
- YMCA members: May 13, 2024
- Open registration: May 27, 2024
Schedule: Half Day Kindergarten will begin on the first day of school, Monday, August 26, 2024.
- AM Care – 7:00 AM-12:30 PM
- PM Care – 12:30-6:00 PM
Location: Friendship YMCA
Fully completed registration paperwork will be due within one week of your online registration submission to complete your registration process. We need a completed packet for each child you are registering. If your forms are not received, your registration will be canceled. Visit ymcaharrisburg.org/half-day for all current registration packets.

Schedule: Half Day Kindergarten will begin on the first day of school, Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
- AM Care – 7:30 AM-12:30 PM
- Hampden, Shaull, and Winding Creek Elementary Schools
Location: West Shore YMCA
