CCY Achievers Programs
The Youth & Teen Achievers are a college and career readiness program for youth in middle school and high school. The program focuses on academic achievement and career development through role modeling and mentoring youth. Youth are exposed to a variety of career options and encouraged to raise their academic standards to prepare for the next level. In addition to preparing the youth for college and beyond, the program also places a major focus on building character and increasing community involvement.
Program Activities Include:
- Field Trips
- End of year award banquet
- Scholarship for qualified seniors
- Activities & Curriculum Themes will include:
- Academic Support: Homework help, study skills, goal tracking
- Life Skills: Time management, responsibility, digital safety
- Social-Emotional Learning: Self-esteem, communication, handling peer pressure
- Career Exposure: Guest speakers, field trips, job shadowing
- Fun & Bonding: Games, creative projects, team challenges
- Entrepreneur session: guest speaker from local businesses
- The program will help prepare students going into high school, college, or trade school
- College tours
A meal is offered: Dinner options (Chicken nuggets and fries, pizza, snacks, etc.)
A membership is not required for Y achievers, but some opportunities may incur an expense for travel and accommodation.
Dates:
- September 14, 2026 – April 26, 2027
- Achievers Banquet on May 12, 2027
Schedule:
- Junior Achievers (Grades 6-8): biweekly Mondays from 6:00-8:00pm
- Y Achievers (Grades 9-12): biweekly Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00pm
