WSY Empowered Functional Fit
With this 8 class session, build strength in your coordination, joint integrity, and center of gravity control. You will gain functional fitness through simple cardio and strength moves. In a community setting with individualized attention, you will enhance your balance, speed, agility, as well as balance.
Designed for Active Older Adults.

WSY Rock Steady Boxing
Rock Steady Boxing is available for those diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Taught by a certified coach, this program will focus on balance, strength, coordination, mobility, and flexibility.
Dates: This program runs throughout the year on a monthly basis.
Schedule:
- Starting October 1: Mondays & Wednesdays from 1:00-2:30pm
Location: West Shore YMCA
A one time assessment fee of $20 is required for new participants (includes fitness assessment & a pair of boxing gloves).

WSY Spinning Endurance Ride
This 16-week program will improve your aerobic endurance, fitness condition, and will give you a great sense of accomplishment! All abilities are welcome, and participants who complete the whole program will receive a complimentary water bottle.
Not ready to commit? Drop in anytime! Drop-ins will be accommodated based on bike availability.
Our instructors Mark Pickering, Rich Lucente, and Judd Fodness will rotate for this class.
Registration is highly recommended as it will secure the participant’s bike.
Free to all YMCA members – $30 fee for Guests.

WSY Teen Strength Fundamentals Class
Help your teen build a strong foundation in fitness with our Teen Strength Fundamentals class! This 8-week program is designed specifically for teens who want to learn how to lift safely and effectively under the guidance of one of our certified personal trainers.
Participants will focus on:
- Proper lifting technique
- Balance and coordination
- Safe and effective strength training habits
The course includes baseline and final testing to track progress and celebrate improvements.
Whether your teen is new to the gym or looking to build confidence in the weight room, this class is the perfect place to start!
Dates: November 2, 2025 – December 21, 2025
